soil health through fungi
Thursday, September 22 | 6 PM | Our Lady of the Snows | Free | Pre-Register
Fungi have become very popular in recent years, in part because of their potential for breaking down toxic waste. This process, known as mycoremediation, may hold the key to future clean water and soil. What is this process like and how realistic is it?
In this workshop, we'll take a look at home-scale mycoremediation projects and case studies of larger projects. Then we'll look at common contaminants in the Salt Lake Valley and imagine what community mycoremediation projects would look like right here at the place we call home.
