The “Getting Salty” class will cover everything from making culinary salts (coffee, vanilla, smoked) to cooking with salt and even salt alternatives.
We’ll taste some fun salts and have a blast learning about this ingredient in which our city is named after.
Katie is a local chef specializing in unique international culinary experiences. She loves snowboarding at Snowbird almost as much as being a chef. Katie always has 3-4 different salts in her kitchen while cooking. The benefits to cooking with flavored or different coarseness of salt are incredible! She’s always been fascinated with salt baking, creating infused salts, and salt alternatives like sea asparagus.
