wildkind's she-shred ski day
Sunday, April 16th | 3 PM at Collin’s Base | 4 PM at Slopeside Café | Free | Pre-Register
WildKind’s She Shreds ski is for all women - from groms to moms that are in support of a strong female outdoor community.
Let’s ski together this April 16th dressed in your best blue “mom” jeans, a splash of pink lip stick (if that's your style) and take it to full party-mode by wearing your Pit Vipers (or your favorite fun sunnies) to show that showing off our femininity is a sign of strength in ourselves and our abilities!
At WildKind, we believe that living an adventure-fueled life shouldn’t end when growing your family begins. The world likes to tell moms that they shouldn’t-or can’t-enjoy hardcore outdoor adventure with their children, but we believe otherwise. Even more, we believe in fueling our adventures together as a community. So come out and ski - for yourself, your mom, your kids, and your girlfriends that you get out the door with! Join us for community, a sense of "I can", and surround yourself with others that know that just because you became a mom doesn’t mean you're less of a badass. We hope too, that you may find a new friend and adventure buddy!
This event is open to all women of all ages. Bring your daughters and your friends! Come ski for the whole day, or just the afternoon, and wave to your fellow ladies in jeans as you see them on the hill. Everyone will meet up for a group ski at 3:00pm outside the Collins Skier Service Building (left of Collins lift). Once organized, we will take the Collins lift up together for the group ski from the top of Collins life at 3:30pm down blue ski runs at Alta Ski Resort. After our lap, we will ski straight to the Slopeside Cafe at Goldminer's to celebrate a fun run and share ski stories with your new adventure buddies!
See event web page for full details.
Wildkind is a small, women-owned business that supports families to find adventure after having kids. Through free, community events to guide-led kid-free adventures, WildKind provides parents with resources, gear discounts, education, and opportunities to adventure outside and build a community of their own. We are supported by our ambassadors in Colorado and Utah who help us lead community events and various business and brands who partner with us and/or sponsor events to increase awareness of the possibilities for families with young kids to continue finding their adventures in the outdoors.
Please check out our website to discover more about our memberships and local events where we have some type-II adventure with and without our kiddos year round.
Sponsors of this event are SheJumps, Pit Viper and Alta Community Enrichment. Check out their websites to see all of the wonderful events each organization hosts in our local area!
This is not an instructional event, just a fun meet up with a mission we can send down the mountain together
