salt lake ballet co-op with the lingo
Sunday, August 9th | 5 PM Doors | 5:30 PM Ballet | Snowpine Lodge Grand Lawn | $10 | Tickets Required | Kids Under 5 are Free
Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative, a professional-level movement cooperative, is a program of Deseret Experimental Opera Company (DEXO). Founded in 2013, DEXO has produced many premier works; incorporating both traditional and non-traditional approaches. By bringing together diverse specialists ranging from musicians to dancers to writers to actors, we strive for the age-old goal of opera: a work greater than the sum of its parts.
This summer, Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative (SLBC) is thrilled to be partnering with local band, The Lingo. Lead vocalist Adam Borgoine, bassist Alex Millet, keyboardist Joe Pederson, guitarist Sam Morrison, and drummer Bridger Croxford make up this groovy psych-rock band. Their influence ranges from prototype punk to surf-rock from the 60s. Over the past several years, SLBC, a program of Deseret Experimental Opera, has cultivated partnerships with local musicians and bands to present original, unique performances. You are in for a truly one-of-a-kind experience with this all-new collaboration. One thing is for sure, this show promises to bring the groove!
