Dignity & Conflict Workshop

Wednesday, February 27th | 6pm | Our Lady of the Snows | Free

Dignity is an internal state of peace that comes with the recognition and acceptance of the value and vulnerability of all living things - Donna Hicks

This workshop will be led by Ellyn Zografi, MS, LMFT

Learn about the 10 essential elements of Dignity based on the Dignity Model created by Donna Hicks https://drdonnahicks.com. This workshop will define what it means to be treated with, and to treat others, with Dignity to help improve communication and promote positive relationships. Unlike Respect, we are born with Dignity and is not something we are required to earn, as much as something that requires honoring. Dignity is a human need and is vulnerable to violation by ourselves, and by others, affecting our individual well being as well as the overall well being of a work community. The Dignity Model is a framework and tool from which to understand our own actions, responses and behavior at a deeper level, as well as promote curiosity, rather than criticism, of the actions, responses and behaviors of others. This understanding promotes accountability, assertive communication, compassion, effective agency and an overall culture of dignity among those working together for a common purpose.
