Mental Health Awareness  Suicide Survivorship - Understanding Grief and Loss

Kathie Supiano, Director of Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief, the grief support program located in the University of Utah College of Nursing will speak about suicide survivorship for individuals and communities who have lost someone to suicide. Suicide loss is a unique grief for families, friends and communities. Effective post-loss care of survivors also positively impacts comprehensive suicide prevention efforts—and information on suicide prevention will also be provided.
