aprés art: exploring the benefits of herbs & how to harness them

Tuesday, March 5th | 5 PM | Our Lady of the Snows | $5 | Sign-Up

In this class, we will take a deeper look at familiar garden herbs to better understand their health benefits. Students will work with Elsa, a trained herbalist, to create their own personal tea blends using dried herbs and other materials directly from Frog Bench Farms. At the end of class, each student will have a better understanding of how to work with herbs for flavor and well-being and will get to take home their own tea. This course will appeal to anyone interested in herbs, teas, or making the most of their home garden.

Frog Bench Farms is an urban farm in Salt Lake City focused on growing and sharing nutritious and delicious produce and secondary products with our community. We are excited to be developing secondary products such as dried herbs, loose-leaf infusions, dried florals, and more. Elsa Dieterle is the Secondary Product Associate at Frog Bench Farms. Elsa has studied herbal medicine for more than 3 years, developing a deep understanding of herbal health benefits and the art of tea blending.

ACE aims to create an inclusive and accessible environment for all of our attendees; please contact our Executive Director, Sara Gibbs, with any questions regarding accessibility.
