Tuesday, July 29th | 6 PM | Our Lady of the Snows | $5 | Sign-up Required
In this class, students will learn how to create a composition with found objects and/or plants. This class is especially good for people who want to learn about the combination of textures. You will use air-dry clay during this class. At the end of class, you will leave with two 6" circles, six 3 3/4" circles (or a combination of the two sizes), and wall pieces that will need to finish drying at home.
Laura was born in Oakland, California, and currently lives and works in Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her BFA from Brigham Young University in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture, as well as her MAT from George Mason University. Her printmaking and sculpture background heavily influences her current body of work. Using found objects and plants in her process, her paintings are rich in texture, leaving behind color and fragments of material from the actual objects and plants themselves.
