Deseret Experimental Opera and Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative present "Ruin" with Columbia Jones. We have partnered with Jones to create original dance pieces for his songs. Jones’s songs are earnest reflections of the everyday American experience, and we are delighted to see another layer of life experience and interpretation with dance. Spectators of the One Man Band can expect to see him perform on guitar while kicking a bass drum, foot tambourine, and some live looping.
Salt Lake Ballet Cooperative is a professional-level movement cooperative that is donation-run. SLBC was formed in late 2021 from a need for affordable classes and a desire to create original works for the local community. SLBC puts on several original ballet performances each year and provides open classes to the public. Current class options include Ballet, Gyrokinesis, Pilates, and Yoga.
