paper quilling for spring

In this class, students will learn basic paper quilling techniques in order to create a textured and colorful artwork suitable for framing. Skills such as coiling using a quilling tool and tweezers as well as gluing techniques will be demonstrated. Skills learned can be used to create cards and other artwork at home.

Erin Hayes is a paper artist living in Salt Lake City. She ordered a quilling kit for her kids during the pandemic and after unsuccessfully encouraging them to try it, she took it over herself. She focuses on Utah's landscapes in her work and enjoys participating in shows and art markets throughout the area.
