Push To Survive- Compression Only CPR

CPR is a life sustain measure that any adult is capable of performing. CPR sustains the viability of the brain, heart, and vital organs until further life-saving measures can be delivered. Modern research has shown that mouth-to-mouth resuscitation is not critically important, it is the compressions that are absolutely critical to perform well. With this in mind, we’ll teach when they are appropriate, how to make that assessment, and how to perform them effectively. This approach is especially timely, as we reduce the exposure factor by eliminating the mouth-to-mouth portion and empower people to do this without worrying about breath-to-compression ratios or if they are “certified” to perform such measures.

Additionally, we will learn about the function and usability of Automatic External Defibrillators, or AED’s, which are now in many public spaces. These devices are intended for the public to use, and unlike CPR which sustains viability, an AED can actually restart a heart.
