tila bead bracelet workshop

In this class, students will learn how to design and make a stretch Tila Bead bracelet. This class is especially good for those who want to learn to create beaded jewelry. You will use stretch magic cord and colorful Japanese Miyuki Tila Beads during this class. At the end of this class, you will leave with a beautiful bracelet you designed and created yourself to keep or give as a holiday gift!

ages 12+

Please bring glasses if needed, as the beads are very small and good hand/eye dexterity is needed.

Michelle Staley of Dragonfly Creations has been a jewelry designer for over 25 years. Her love of the outdoors and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains gives her endless design inspiration. She learned to ski at Alta when she was a young child and is still an avid skier today. Alta has always had a special place in her heart, so she is excited to teach at ACE! At the beginning of her jewelry journey, Michelle mainly created beadwork, and later became a metalsmith. She enjoys teaching others and helping students learn to love the creative part of themselves they sometimes were not aware of. Seeing what others design gives her new perspectives and appreciation. When students finish a project and can wear their art or give their creation to someone special, Michelle feels she has accomplished her personal goal of spreading joy and beauty in the world through jewelry design.
