trail therapy

Sunday, July 21st | 9:30 AM-12:30 PM | Meet in Front of the GMD | Free

Hiking at Alta can help us feel lighter, clearer, calmer, and open to ourselves and others. In this Trail Therapy series with a Mental Health Counselor, we will learn skills for being present, releasing negativity, increasing positivity, and allowing the forest to recharge us. You can bring a light issue to the group and see how walking and talking brings insight and a Beginner’s Mind.

Hallie Yurick has been a Clinical Mental Health Counselor since 2008, specializing in understanding the complexities of anxiety, trauma, and grief. She employs a diverse toolkit, including EMDR and CBT, to find insights into the body, to rise into the transpersonal, to explore our social world, and to heal with nature. Hallie dives deep into getting to know oneself while putting clients’ needs first. She is also a small business owner, balancing life and work—Hallie teaches skiing, gliding through Alta for 15 exhilarating years, transforming novices into confident fun-seekers. She teaches Yoga, and in her classes, she blends healing for the heart with power for the body.

ACE aims to create an inclusive and accessible environment for all of our attendees; please contact our Executive Director, Sara Gibbs, with any questions regarding accessibility.
