explorations in watercolor | 3 day course
Tuesday, June 25th, July 2nd, July 9th | 6 PM | Alta Peruvian Lawn | $50 | Sign-up Required
When signing up for this class, please ensure you can make all three days.
In these classes, students will learn the unique qualities of watercolor, how to allow the paint to do its magic, and how to control it. Using photos as references, students will practice washes, wet-into-wet techniques, layering to change color and deepen values, and "tricks" for creating interesting textures. As they work on a new painting in each class, students will also get an introduction to composition and color theory. This class is perfect for beginners and an excellent refresher for intermediate painters. More advanced painters will receive critiques and advice on how to take their work to the next level.
Attendees will go home with a watercolor journal, paper, travel palette, and brushes.
