Wildflower Watercolor 101

Join ACE and Local Artist, Vicky Merryman, @vickyhsuinca. During this one-hour Zoom class, you will be learning the basic skills of how to paint one of Alta’s most common, yet attractive, wildflowers in the Summer. We will start from an easy sketch then I will walk you through some easy steps to watercolor the Sunflower that we drew. You will be able to watch me demonstrate how to paint the flowers and also make your very own painting from home!

Supplies You Will Need:

1. Any brand of watercolor paint ( we will be using at least 3 colors: yellow, green, and blue )

2. Brushes ( I will be using round brush 8 or 10 ) 3. Any brand of watercolor paper ( I prefer 140 lb, but and kind of watercolor paper will be fine! )

4. A jar of water

5. Pencil (HB) and eraser

6. Ink pen ( not mandatory)

7. Any reference of Sunflower images

8. Great happy attitude to start painting!
