LOOM WEAVING WORKSHOP

Learn the foundations of weaving on a loom from an expert. Students will learn about the loom, how to warp, weave, and how to remove and finish the piece. Each student will go home with a sample. A floor loom and several table looms will be available to work on. The first 2 days we will warp the loom and begin weaving. The third class will focus on finishing and addressing problems. The major bonus of this class is that if you take the workshop you will then be able to sign up for open time with the big floor loom to work on your own personal pieces. Learn about the loom we acquired from the Egen family.

Students should bring: scissors, tape measure, old prescription bottles (if you have them) calculator, paper grocery bags, note taking paraphernalia.
