How to Brine Your Bird

How to Brine Your Bird

Monday, November 23rd | 6:30pm | Virtual | Pre Register Here

Learn how to avoid a sad, dry, and disappointing turkey by making your own brine. Brining is a technique that involves submerging meat in a salt solution prior to roasting, smoking or grilling. The brining process adds an extra hit of flavorful moisture.

When people say "Happy Turkey Day!" some of us cringe because every year our families make what one might consider a cardboard bird. Sure it looks beautiful, but it’s not always so tasteful. Instead shouldn’t we say, "Happy Food Coma Day!" or "Happy Stuffing Day!"? Probably not. So join ACE and Chef Jeff Moore and let’s learn a turkey brine recipe that can turn the once freeze-dried texture bird into a strong (and tasty) presence on your table. After signing up you will receive a list of ingredients and supplies needed. Our teacher Jeff is a temporarily retired chef and semi-pro napper who enjoys occasional turns on Crooked Mile.
