van life plant-based cooking: how to meal plan & cook in a small space
Thursday, August 1st | 6 PM | Our Lady of the Snows | $5 | Sign-up Required
Van life cooking can seem daunting at first. With such a small space, limited access to water, and without the usual conveniences of home (oven, microwave, large fridge, etc.), you may be wondering how you can make easy, healthy meals on the road.
In this class about camper van cooking, we will share tips to help you reach van life chef status with advice on grocery shopping, ingredients, and food prep that make cooking in a small space easier. These tips will help you save time on cooking and cleanup, maximize your water supply, and inspire you to prepare your own healthy meals.
Ryan will do a cooking demo during the class, and everyone will have a chance to taste his yummy creations. Students will also leave with a printed list of easy plant-based meal ideas, as well as a grocery shopping checklist.
Ryan Travis and Kristen Bor have spent the last 8 summers living full-time in their Sprinter Van. On Kristen's blog - Bearfoot Theory - Kristen has compiled everything they've learned into a comprehensive van life resource full of tips to help you hit the road with ease, including how to cook delicious meals in your camper van. Ryan and Kristen have been plant-based for over 4 years and love showing others how to whip up simple yet scrumptious vegan food using minimal tools and ingredients.
